Group 3

  • Who is it for? Beginners who have done an induction who are looking to achieve basic racing skills and to get around the track safely the rider should be looking to achieve club level racing and moving on to regional level racing.
  • Why do they need to attend? To learn to become faster, safer, and stronger racers.
  • What do they need to achieve to move on? To understand the basic skills: racing, cornering, jumps and track knowledge (Safety, racing lines, listening, and understanding coaches’ instructions)
  • How can they achieve this? By attending the coaching sessions and club races.

Group 2

  • Who is it for? Top achieving club riders and regional level riders who have a greater understanding of racing skills. Continuing to achieve at club and regional level with the insight to move onto larger events (British championships and nationals)
  • Why do they need to attend? So, they can learn to become faster, safer, and stronger racers and progress onto higher level racing.
  • What do they need to achieve to move on? To be regularly racing at regional level showing improvement and use of basic the skills: racing, cornering, jumps, strength and conditioning and track knowledge (Safety, racing lines, listening, and understanding coaches’ instructions)
  • How can they achieve this? By attending coaching sessions, club races and regional races and starting to attend nationals.

Group 1.5

  • Who is it for? Top level regional riders and riders who have competed in a national and or British championships.
  • Why do they need to attend? To learn to become faster, safer, and stronger racers and continue to progress onto higher level racing. They will continue to develop their racing and fitness skills be achieving at club, regional and further.
  • What do they need to achieve to move on? To be regularly racing at regional level and actively moving on to higher level racing. A complete understanding of the basic the skills: racing, cornering, jumps, strength and conditioning and track knowledge, good bike handling skills and Enthusiasm and self-motivation and an actively developing through the British cycling development pathway and attending RSR’s where appropriate.
  • How can they achieve this? By attending coaching sessions, club races and regional races, nationals and or British championships

Group 1

  • Who is it for?- Top level regional riders and high-level national riders, riders who are starting to or actively progressing beyond nationals. They will continue to develop their racing and fitness skills throughout these.
  • Why do they need to attend? So, they can learn to become faster, safer, and stronger racers and excel at higher level racing
  • What do they need to achieve to move on? To be regularly attending nationals and moving on to higher level racing like Euro’s and World’s. A complete understanding of the basic the skills: racing, cornering, jumps, strength and conditioning and track knowledge, good bike handling skills and Enthusiasm and self-motivation and an actively developing through the British cycling development pathway and attending NSR’s or RSR’s where appropriate
  • How can they achieve this? By attending coaching sessions, club races, regional races, nationals, British championships, RSR’s, NSR’s, Euro’s and World’s
