Coaching sessions are for club members and by invitation only issued by the Coaches using the Spond App.
All those participating in any coaching are requested to complete the latest Consent Forms – you can download here and complete before arrival for your invited session.

New Rider Induction sessions.

Who is it for? Complete beginners who are able to ride a bike, show their basic riding skills (breaking, balancing, body movement, listening and understanding coaches requirements, to be able to get around the track without assistance in a safe manner) Generally this is aimed for children aged 5-12 years old but anybody older than this that has no prior track skills or BMX racing knowledge will have to undertake an induction.

Why do they need to attend? To show they have a basic understanding of safety and show they have the basic riding skills (breaking, balancing, body movement, listening and understanding coaches requirements, to be able to get around the track without assistance in a safe manner)to join a practice session or coaching group.

What do they need to achieve to move on? A complete lap of the track without assistance be aware of and developing the basic racing skills required to attend group 3 basic racing skills are: racing, cornering, jumps and track knowledge (Safety, racing lines, listening, and understanding coaches’ instructions)

How can they achieve this? By completing a Pre booked induction session – spaces are limited so please book early via the Contact Us page.
Coaching Groups and sessions.

The Coaching sessions are aimed at taking novice riders through club and regional racing and further as part of the British Cycling BMX Pathway.
The clubs qualified coaching team run sessions designed for the complete novice through to expert riders and they attend many of the races at Regional and national level to support the clubs members.
Coaching Fee – £6.00 – please note, Members only
Groups are as follows
Group, 1 and 1.5 – 9.30am to 11.00am – riders which are regular National level riders.
Group, 2 – 11.15am to 12.45pm – riders which are regular Regional level riders.
Group, 3 – 1.00pm to2.30pm – riders that have raced club races or just starting their BMX race career.

The coaches will confirm what group the rider is in however if you want to discuss this we are all open to helping each rider and parent understand the criteria.
