Rockets in fund raising mode.

The Royston BMX Club has been selected as one of the shortlist of 20 organisations applying for the Mick George “Bag of Gold” award run in conjunction with the Cambridge News (See page 22 of today’s edition for full details). The final choice of winner is based on public votes so we need to get as many as possible – go to www.mickgeorge.co.uk/cambsgold to cast your vote in the on line poll which closes on Saturday June 17th.

Royston Rockets are happy to announce that we are putting together a team for this year’s Pedal4Cancer London to Cambridge challenge on Sunday 17th September. ANYONE is welcome to join our team from our club riders to mums and dads! It’s a great chance to raise money for charity and have a fun ride with your teammates! We are currently in the process of getting some one off road jerseys designed for the ride, so watch this space!

If you would like to join the team please comment on the facebook post or contact Jay at heard_225@hotmail.com

We’ll update you shortly when we have received the details needed for our team’s registration.

Also, Phil and Maureen Townsend are doing the London Poppy Walk for The Royal British Legion. If anyone would like to support them to raise vital funds for The Legion they have a Just Giving Page at http://www.justgiving.com/Phil-and-Maureent-Townsend

Please pass all these fund raising efforts onto all your friends.
